Broomfield Colorado

Broomfield, a community North and slightly West of downtown Denver, boasts gorgeous views of Pikes Peak to the south, Mount Evans to the west, Longs Peak to the northwest and the vast plains on the east. The population of this growing city is about 56,000. The city has committed a large percent of its land to open space and there are many trails and wildlife to enjoy. The indoor recreation center isn’t bad either. The Paul Derda Recreation Center was built in 2003 and includes a fully equipped fitness center, a gymnastics center, indoor track, basketball court, indoor water park/pool and climbing wall. Children and parents alike enjoy The Bay Aquatic Park during the summertime. This outdoor water park/pool is the perfect gathering place for hot summer days. The Bay is located across the street from the Broomfield library, Mamie Doud Eisenhower, and the other city buildings. People also settle in Broomfield because it is about equal distance to both downtown Denver and Boulder. Big business such as IBM, Edward Jones and Level 3 bring people to this area.
